The Monarch Book that we are working with this week is called, Saving Fiona, by Thane Maynard.This is a narrative non-fiction book about the world famous hippo named Fiona, a baby hippo born prematurely at the Cincinnati Zoo, the team of scientists and caregivers who nursed her to health, and the vast community in Cincinnati and beyond who rallied around her.
We will read this story and learn all about the special Fiona!
